Terms & Conditions

• AGE REQUIREMENT:
  Minimum age 23 years for car groups F, H, M, O, V 25 years.
   
• DURATION:
  The minimum rental period is 24 hours (one day). Rentals have a grace period of 30 minutes.If the vehicle is not returned within this period an additional day will be charged to the customer.

Renters qualification:When collecting the vehicle all renters need to have:

1. Valid driver’s license (issued at least 1 year prior to rental).
2. ID or Passport.
3. Credit card.

• PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: 
  From our office located opposite the external terminal of Igoumenitsa port or from the port to Corfu/Paxi from 08.30 to 21.00.We can also deliver your car anywhere in Igoumenitsa or directly to your hotel within 20-kilometres radius of our office at no additional cost. On Sundays and national holidays as well as in areas more than 20klm away there is an additional cost of 20 euro to deliver your car.

• ACCEPTED CREDIT CARDS: 
  Our company accepts credit cards VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO.AMERICAN EXPRESS and DINERS CARD.
   
• INSURANCE
  SCDW - Super Collission Damage Waiver

  The renter can limit his liability by adding SCDW by paying an additional €15 per rental day.
  300 EUR for all categories A–B-C-D

  DW – Full Damage Waiver: 
  The Renter can be fully covered (with zero excess) in case of car damage provided that he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the rental agreement and is charged:
  20€ more than FDW, for every rental day for categories

• WHAT I DO IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT?
  a. Inform Svelto Rent a Car immediately
  b. Contact the insurance company INTERSALONICA 11555
  c. Call the police (100).This is critical in case someone is injured, and a police report can help you in case you need to make an insurance claim. If there are other driver(s) involved, take down their insurance information before leaving the scene.

• FUEL:
  Paid by the renter and  the car must be returned with the same level of fuel as recorded on the Rental Agreement otherwise a fee will apply.
   
• ACROSS THE BORDER RENTAL:
  Vehicles are not allowed to cross the Greek borders.
   
• TRANSFER BY BOAT:
  It is forbidden without an advanced written authorization.
   
• DEPOSIT:
  A deposit is required when booking.

CAUTION - Τhe insurance does not apply when:

- The vehicle is tranported by boat.
- The driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other type of narcotic substances.
- Travelling on non-paved roads or on roads, the surface or state of repair of which could put the vehicle's wheels, tires or its under body mechanics at risk.
- There is damage to the mirrors,windshield, antenna, upholstery and vehicle keys.
- Personal effects are not covered for loss or damage.
- The car is being driven by someone who is not listed on the rental agreement.
- The renter does not notify the insurance company nor our office for the accident that he is involved even if the renter is not at-fault.This is in accordance with the Greek legislation.

There are no hidden fees.
